Happiness is the ultimate goal in life. Knowledge is one of the key factor for happiness. Due to financial situations, many people never get the opportunity to go to school and realize the value of education. Therefore, Sakthi Foundation started Sakthi schools in the village of Sendurai to educate kids.
Sendurai is a beautiful town near Madurai, surrounded by hills. Sendurai has nearly 5000 residents and they are mostly farmers. Average family income is approximately Rs. 50 ($ 1) per day and the literacy rate is less than 5%. Therefore, the children's are forced to work in the agricultural lands to help their parents.
