The Uni5 Sakthi Montessori School

Happiness is the ultimate goal in life. Knowledge is one of the key factor for happiness. Due to financial situations, many people never get the opportunity to go to school and realize the value of education. Therefore, Sakthi Foundation started Sakthi schools in the village of Sendurai to educate kids.

Sendurai is a beautiful town near Madurai, surrounded by hills. Sendurai has nearly 5000 residents and they are mostly farmers. Average family income is approximately Rs. 50 ($ 1) per day and the literacy rate is less than 5%. Therefore, the children's are forced to work in the agricultural lands to help their parents. Though there are government schools nearby, very few children get good quality education. To learn more about the schools, please click the link about us

Highlight of the School:

1. Personalized Education: Every child is unique not only with respect to their own talents but also with challenges like emotional challenges, physical challenges, discipline challenges and learning challenges. School and home is the place to help the children to discover their own talents and also rectify their challenges. Education is complete only when both talents are nurtured and challenges are dealt with.

This warrants personalized education for every child, like personalized medicine to restore health.  Uni5 school is able to give personalized education to diverse nature of children. Children come with  to school, but our unique Uni5 education system with a wholistic vision is able to cater personalized education.

2. Love the Unifying force: In the five years, many parents tell us that ,  children  love to go to this school without crying. It is because of the love and affection teachers show to children.  Teachers themselves amazed that without scolding or corporal punishment, children can be taken care with love and affection. When children are given materials to work, they are engrossed in it without disturbing others.

3. Pattern Learning: Through the Montessori materials they are introduced to structural  patterns of shapes, sizes, and colors.  In the next stage, through Uni5 materials, children are introduced to functional patterns.  This will significantly help in later years of life to develop self responsibility, self-analysis, self-learning learning to tremendous creative potential. Children are motivated to ask deeper big questions of life.
